Volunteer Opportunity: Project Assistant at Peace Therapist

Remote | Part-time | Volunteer Role

Peace Therapist
 is a refugee- and women-led social enterprise providing multilingual, culturally sensitive mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) across conflict-affected regions in Türkiye, Syria, and beyond. We have supported over 70,000 individuals through online therapy, awareness content, and community-based programs.

We're currently seeking a 
motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Project Assistant
 to join our team and support the implementation of ongoing humanitarian, mental health, and peacebuilding initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of ongoing projects, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Support proposal writing, reporting, and grant tracking activities
  • Help manage internal communication across teams and external coordination with partners
  • Maintain and update project documents, meeting notes, and monitoring tools
  • Conduct basic desk research and contribute to presentations or knowledge products
  • Support visibility and communications materials (if interested)

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Turkish and/or Arabic is a plus)
  • Interest in mental health, humanitarian work, refugee support, or peacebuilding
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work setting
  • Background in psychology, social work, international development, or related fields preferred (but not required)
