Tax Lawyer

For our partner, a renowned law firm with a strong tax practice and international focus, we are looking for an experienced
Tax Lawyer (f/m/d)
to join their team in Geneva.

Responsibilities

• Advising private individuals and corporate clients on all aspects of direct and indirect Swiss tax law
• Tax planning in the context of complex restructurings, succession planning and cross-border situations
• Drafting tax law appeals and submissions and supporting clients in subsequent tax and tax penalty proceedings
• Preparing and reviewing tax-relevant contracts (including in an M&A context)
• Leading negotiations with tax authorities and accompanying audits and appeal proceedings
• Ongoing analysis of your clients' tax situation, including the identification of risks and optimisation potential
• Acting as a mentor for junior team members and contributing to internal and external training formats

Requirements

• Above-average law degree and bar admission (Switzerland or EU)
• Several years of professional experience in Swiss tax law, ideally gained in a law firm or advisory environment
• Additional qualification such as Swiss Certified Tax Expert, MAS FH/SIST Taxation or LL.M. Swiss and International Taxation (or currently in training towards one of these) is desired
• Very good command of French and English; any additional languages are an advantage
• Strong commercial mindset, excellent negotiation skills and an independent, well-structured way of working
• A team-oriented personality with strong client focus and genuine enjoyment of complex tax matters
