Requirements Must have: - 8 years of experience in relationship management and sales, ideally within the financial services industry. - Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience motivating and guiding teams of Relationship Managers and Assistants. - Solid understanding of financial products and services, relationship management, institutional sales processes, and deep knowledge of industry trends and regulations. - Experience working with or within the South African financial sector. - Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Fluency in English and German is essential. Reporting to the Head of Business Development South Africa, this role oversees a team of Relationship Managers and Assistants and is responsible for driving revenue growth while building and maintaining long-term relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, trustees, banks, and brokers. **Key Responsibilities** **Operations Management:** - **Develop and maintain** strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding **their needs and delivering tailored financial solutions.** - **Implement, monitor and analyze** performance data to identify improvement opportunities. - **Collaborate** with various internal departments to ensure relationship management and sales objectives align with broader business goals. - **Identify and pursue** new business opportunities. **Team Management:** **Leadership & Team Development** - **Lead, support, and inspire** your team of Relationship Managers and Assistants. - **Foster** a positive, motivating work environment where employees feel valued and connected to the team and organization. - **Promote** collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members. - **Escalate** potential conflicts to senior management and/or your HR Partner as needed. - **Support** employee development through training, mentoring, coaching, and career advancement opportunities. **Hiring & Onboarding** - **Lead the recruitment process** in collaboration with your Talent Acquisition Partner. - **Ensure** new hires receive a comprehensive introduction to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific responsibilities. **Performance Management** - **Set clear performance expectations**, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues proactively. - **Manage underperformance** processes in alignment with senior management and your HR Partner.
