Our client is a reputable financial institution committed to maintaining high compliance standards and ethical conduct. To support their Swiss operations, they are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel (50-60%) to take ownership of core regulatory and legal responsibilities.

Your tasks:

  • Oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements

  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of compliance measures and controls

  • Identify and assess compliance risks and perform integrated control processes

  • Communicate with regulatory authorities on compliance topics

  • Conduct investigations into suspected breaches in collaboration with Legal & Internal Audit

  • Carry out compliance audits during the development of new internal policies

  • Manage whistleblowing and complaints processes

  • Provide regular compliance and ethics risk reports

  • Support the Legal function with legal assessments and documentation

Your profile:

  • Several years of experience as a Compliance Officer in a financial institution in Switzerland

  • University degree in Law; bar admission is a plus

  • Strong sense of ethics, high integrity, and responsibility

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, self-driven approach

  • Excellent communication in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
