About the Role

We are looking for an
Expert in Data Virtualization
to join a dynamic IT Applications team. You will act as the
technical owner
of the Denodo platform, ensuring its operational excellence and driving data integration strategies. This role is key to enabling secure, efficient, and innovative data access across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration & Development (60%)
  • Manage and optimize the Denodo platform (administration, design studio, scheduler, catalog).
  • Implement best practices for virtual data modeling and query performance.
  • Develop and publish data services (e.g., REST APIs) tailored to business needs.
  • Integrate diverse data sources: relational databases, data warehouses, APIs, files, cloud environments.
  • Ensure security and governance (authentication, authorization, data masking, auditing).
  • Oversee migrations, upgrades, and monitoring of the platform.
  • Data Catalog Management (20%)
  • Maintain the Denodo Data Catalog, ensuring completeness and quality.
  • Align coverage with business requirements and train users.
  • Data Management & Architecture (20%)
  • Contribute to data management concepts and architecture.
  • Stay ahead of technological trends and share insights with the data team.
  • Support implementation of data governance and architecture principles.

What We're Looking For

  • Education:
    Engineering degree (EPF/HES) in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience:
  • 8+ years in data management.
  • 3–5 years in data integration or virtualization, with hands-on Denodo expertise.
  • Denodo certifications (Developer, Administrator) are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong SQL skills, query optimization, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT, REST APIs, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Cloud experience (Azure, AWS) and hybrid architectures is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    Collaboration, communication, analytical mindset, autonomy.
  • Languages:
    Fluent French; technical English (spoken and written).
