As a Service Technician, you will support the development and fabrication of cutting-edge dexterous robotic hands. In this role, you will work at the intersection of mechanics and electronics, assembling prototypes, developing and executing tests, and organizing and managing a state-of-the-art hardware workshop. Your work will be a key contribution to bringing a complex product from concepts and early-stage prototypes all the way to scaling manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair, fabricate and assemble prototypes and a small batch series of robotic handsDevelop and constantly improve maintenance, manufacturing and assembly proceduresDevelop, conduct and document reliability and lifetime testing of your systemsHelp to organize and manage our state-of-the-art mechanical workshopHelp install robots at customer sites and provide hardware maintenance and support for customer projects in the DACH regionInstruct others on processes and procedures you master
Requirements:
Professional training (Ausbildung) or a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related fieldStrong intuition for mechanical and electrical systems with hands-on experience in building and assembling complex prototypes3D printing (FDM) expertise from professional or private projectsProficiency in at least some of the following technical topics: CAD design, Design for manufacturing, PCB design SMD soldering experience, Knowledge of manufacturing processes like CNC machining, injection-molding, programming in C++/C /Python, etc.High motivation and problem-solving abilityWell-structured, tidy, and organized work style, with the ability to motivate others to follow the structureMust hold a Swiss work permit or an EU passportFluent in English
