Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a
Founding Full-Stack Software Engineer
at Laelaps AI, located in Zurich, Switzerland. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems that connect real-time operator dashboards with cloud and robotic infrastructure. As our founding engineer, you will own key product features end-to-end, establish engineering best practices, and work closely with the robotics team to bridge cloud services with on-the-ground robotic operations. This role offers significant technical ownership and the opportunity to shape the foundation of our platform and future team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in
    Full-Stack Development
    and
    Software Architecture
  • Proficiency in
    TypeScript/React
    for front-end development and
    Python/Rust/Go
    (or similar) for back-end services
  • Experience building
    real-time systems
    , APIs, and data pipelines (WebSockets, message queues, or streaming data)
  • Familiarity with
    Docker
    ,
    CI/CD pipelines
    , and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Strong understanding of scalability, performance, and system reliability principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
  • Experience with
    ROS 2
    ,
    video streaming (RTSP/WebRTC)
    , or
    AI/robotics applications
    is a plus
