Your Role

As a
Tour Guide
at Tours of Switzerland, you will be the face of our company, responsible for delivering informative, entertaining, and seamless tours. Your mission is to ensure that every guest feels welcomed, engaged, and inspired by the places they visit. You will guide travelers through historic towns, scenic rail routes, and cultural landmarks, bringing Swiss stories to life with passion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead private and small-group tours throughout Swiss cities, mountains, and cultural sites.
  • Deliver engaging commentary about history, culture, geography, and local traditions.
  • Offer local insights, recommendations, and personal anecdotes to enhance the experience.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of all participants throughout the tour.
  • Handle unforeseen situations calmly and professionally (e.g., delays, weather, guest requests).
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team and provide feedback after each tour.

Your Profile:

  • Strong knowledge of Swiss geography, culture, and history.
  • Previous guiding experience or a background in tourism, hospitality, or education is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (other languages such as German, French, Spanish, or Italian are a strong advantage).
  • Excellent public speaking and storytelling skills.
  • Professional, punctual, friendly, and adaptable.
  • Comfortable leading groups and managing logistics independently.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Switzerland and work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays).
