Senior Technical Business Analyst (Contract) - Bern / Hybrid
We're looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a major transformation project within the Swiss insurance sector.
You'll be joining a leading consultancy working closely with one of Switzerland's most established private insurers, bridging business and IT teams to design and implement innovative, efficient, and high-quality solutions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Analyse and document business processes, structures, and technical components
- Translate business needs into clear IT requirements (interfaces, data flows, etc.)
- Support business units in defining functional specifications and solution proposals
- Collaborate with IT architects and development teams to design target solutions
- Prepare and support quality assurance activities
- Coordinate and communicate results with stakeholders across business and IT
- Assist with incident analysis and technical troubleshooting where required
Ideal Background / Experience:
- 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Requirements Engineer in IT
- Proven experience in the Swiss insurance industry
- Strong understanding of both business process design and technical systems
- Familiar with agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum)
- Technical affinity with APIs, microservices, UML, SQL, or cloud-based architectures
- Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
- Structured, proactive, and communicative working style
- Fluent German, good English
