OSI PI Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain
    AVEVA
    /
    OSI PI components
    including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and relevant interfaces/connectors.
  • Integrate
    automation and process control systems
    (e.g., DCS, PLC, SCADA) and
    manufacturing IT systems
    (e.g., MES, LIMS) with the historian.
  • Develop and manage
    data models, event frames, and calculations
    in PI AF to support production monitoring, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ensure
    data integrity, traceability, and availability
    in accordance with
    GxP and data integrity (ALCOA+) principles
    .
  • Collaborate with process engineering, automation, and IT teams to align historian functionality with business and compliance needs.
  • Support
    system validation, documentation, and change control
    activities.
  • Develop
    dashboards and visualization tools
    to monitor process KPIs and equipment performance.
  • Participate in
    system upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
    initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in
    Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field
    .
  • 3+ years of experience
    working with OSIsoft PI systems (Data Archive, AF, Vision).
  • Hands-on experience with
    industrial automation and control systems
    integration.
  • Strong understanding of
    GMP/GxP, data integrity
    , and system validation practices.
  • Scripting or data integration skills (e.g.,
    SQL, Python, PowerShell, APIs
    ) are an advantage.
  • Experience in
    pharma, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing
    preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
