Location:
Zurich, remote, a few days on-site at the beginning and occasionally on-site later if necessary

Task
- Design and further development of the overall technical architecture of the online marketplace, based on the Spryker framework
- Analysis and evaluation of existing system landscapes and definition of optimal integration strategies
- Close cooperation with business and product teams in requirements analysis and technical specification
- Creation of design guidelines and best practices for the development teams
- Responsibility for performance and security in complex, distributed systems
- Support in scaling, expanding, and modularizing existing Spryker projects
- Mentoring and coaching developers in relation to Spryker standards, architectural principles, and clean code
Requirements/skills
- Sound education in computer science (preferably a university or technical college degree)
- At least 10 years of professional experience in software development, including at least 5 years in e-commerce/Spryker environment
- Proven overall technical responsibility in a large e-commerce project
- In-depth knowledge of PHP 8+, Symfony, Composer, and Spryker Commerce OS (frontend & backend modules)
- Experience in designing complex and scalable microservice or modular e-commerce architectures
- Confident in working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with API design, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous communication (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS)
- Understanding of domain-driven design (DDD), clean architecture, and SOLID principles
- Very good German and English skills
