Lausanne, Waadt, Schweiz Corintis Vollzeit CHF 90'000 - CHF 120'000 pro Jahr

We are looking for an experienced NPI Engineer (Process Engineer) to define, oversee and optimize our NPI development suppliers and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our development, NPI and production operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in additive manufacturing will be highly appreciated, particularly in powder-based processes involving sintering.

About us:

Corintis is a provider of advanced semiconductor cooling technologies. Some of the biggest challenges of our lifetime, from climate modeling to drug discovery, require ever increasing computing resources. As more specialized and powerful chips are being deployed in data centers all over the world, the efficient cooling of these large computing clusters has become a major economic and environmental concern.

In fact, the electricity consumption devoted to data center cooling in the near future is estimated to match the combined consumption of London and New York. Moreover, next-generation chip designs are expected to be limited by current cooling technologies.

At Corintis, we address these challenges by integrating cooling directly inside the silicon chip. By doing so, we aim to enable the sustainable computing of the future and allow other innovators to work on the biggest global challenges. Today, we are working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry to enable the next generation of sustainable high-performance data centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technology suppliers and manufacturing partners and their cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to learn, adapt and optimize production processes to ensure our production outcome meets our customers requirements
  • Analyze existing and develop new innovative manufacturing processes to ensure products ramp up, enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime identifying opportunities for optimization to maximize efficiency
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Utilize data analysis and statistical methods to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve process-related issues and minimize disruptions to production.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for new product introductions (NPIs) and process scale-ups.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for process validation, equipment qualification, and other projects as needed.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on process-related topics and best practices.
  • Lead or support the qualification and validation of powder metallurgy processes, including powder handling, blending, de-binding, and sintering.
  • Collaborate on the development and industrialization of additive manufacturing processes using metal powders, such as binder jetting or screen printing-based approaches.
  • Define and implement quality assurance strategies specific to sintered metal parts, including control of green part integrity, shrinkage behavior, and porosity.
  • Establish robust process validation strategies (e.g., DOE, MSA, capability studies) for sintering parameters to ensure dimensional stability, density targets, and mechanical performance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
  • Min years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing operations, preferably with experience in the additive manufacturing industry (ISO
  • Hands-on experience in powder metallurgy processes, including powder characterization, shaping, and sintering of metal components, is strongly desired.
