to serve as our principal legal and strategic partner, enabling transformative partnerships and ensuring our biotech operations advance with integrity, accountability, and purpose.

The Opportunity:

  • Serve as Windward Bio's principal legal partner for operational matters, leading and optimizing contracting, compliance, and risk management across the organization.
  • Lead contract management: Draft, negotiate, and execute a broad range of strategic agreements including master service, consulting, research, and confidentiality agreements with partners, CROs, and collaborators.
  • Build and continuously improve contracting templates, processes, and lifecycle management systems that balance business agility with legal and regulatory risk.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Clinical, Business Development, Operations, Finance, HR) to structure agreements that align innovation with governance, ensuring Windward Bio's interests are protected.
  • Ensure compliance governance: Foster alignment with FDA, EMA, GDPR, HIPAA, data-privacy, and anti-bribery requirements across all biotech operations and partnerships.
  • Advise senior leadership on contractual risk, liability management, and dispute-resolution strategies to safeguard partnerships and corporate interests.
  • Lead legal participation in corporate-governance initiatives, board materials, and policy development to maintain operational integrity and intellectual-property protection.
  • Mentor internal stakeholders on legal best practices, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and business agility across the organization.
