To support this exciting phase of growth, we are looking for a motivated and experienced UAS
professional to join our team in Dietikon, Switzerland, in the following position:
Senior UAS Pilot & Technician
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: As Senior UAS Pilot & Technician, you will play a central role in executing
flight missions, demonstrations, and field deployments of Xer's hybrid UAV systems. You will take
responsibility for preparing, configuring, and operating the aircraft in demanding environments,
ensuring safe and reliable mission execution. Your main responsibilities include:
• Serving as senior pilot in command during flight missions, testing, and customer
demonstrations, ensuring all activities meet operational safety and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing and operating UAS platforms in the field, including configuration, system checks,
mission setup, and post-flight inspection.
• Performing hands-on technical tasks such as payload integration, mechanical and electrical
adjustments, and minor repairs.
• Supporting prototype and system testing activities, including data collection, test
documentation, and feedback for engineering improvements.
• Assisting customers during deployments, offering technical support and practical guidance
during field operations and training sessions.
YOUR EXPERIENCE: We are looking for a hands-on, experienced UAS professional with the
following qualifications:
• Proven experience as a UAV pilot, ideally with exposure to hybrid, multirotor, or complex UAS
platforms; formal UAV pilot certification is a strong advantage.
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or mechatronic fields, gained
through a degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training.
• Solid practical experience in system integration, mechanical assembly, electrical wiring,
troubleshooting, or maintenance of UAV or similar electromechanical systems.
• Comfortable working in the field under varying conditions, with a proactive and adaptable
mindset suited for demanding operational environments.
• Strong understanding of UAS safety procedures, mission workflows, and operational checklists;
experience in governmental, industrial, or defense settings is beneficial.
• Good communication skills in English; Able to interact effectively with internal teams and
customers during deployments.
