JOB OVERVIEW

Do you thrive at the intersection of industrial operations and modern digital technology?

As a Senior Industrial System Integrator, you will design the system architecture that powers our Plant of Tomorrow portfolio. You will integrate OT and IT environments, build scalable and secure system foundations, and ensure seamless implementation across plants.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Digital, you will play a key role in turning advanced technologies into real operational value.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and maintain integration principles for smart plant architecture (edge, hybrid, cloud)
• Harmonize OT/IT interfaces and ensure consistency across platforms
• Evaluate current architectures and recommend improvements in scalability, reliability, and cybersecurity
• Guide middleware, API, and interface selection to support interoperable data flows
• Lead regional and global deployment of integration solutions
• Translate user needs into technical requirements for developers
• Drive adoption and capability-building across plant and business teams
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are embedded into system design and field work

WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science
• 5+ years in industrial system integration within heavy/process industries
• 5+ years leading OT/IT integration initiatives
• Experience with digital twins, integrated platforms, or smart operations centers
• SAP PM/PP/QM and BW/API experience is an advantage
• Analytical, structured, and strong communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
• Python or open-source familiarity is an asset
• Fluent in English; German, French, or Spanish is a plus

Travel

Up to 25% international travel, mainly to North America.

Als Senior Industrial System Integrator gestalten Sie die technische Grundlage für die Plant of Tomorrow-Initiativen. Sie entwickeln integrierte Systemarchitekturen, verbinden OT und IT zu einem stimmigen Gesamtsystem und sorgen dafür, dass Lösungen sowohl sicher als auch skalierbar sind.

Sie arbeiten eng mit Engineering, Operations und Digital-Teams zusammen – und stellen sicher, dass moderne Technologien nahtlos in den Werksalltag überführt werden.

IHRE AUFGABEN

• Entwicklung und Pflege einer klaren Integrationsarchitektur für Smart Plant Lösungen (Edge, Hybrid, Cloud)
• Harmonisierung von OT/IT-Schnittstellen und Sicherstellung eines einheitlichen Systemdesigns
• Bewertung bestehender Architekturen und Empfehlung von Verbesserungen in Skalierbarkeit, Stabilität und Cybersecurity
• Auswahl und Konfiguration relevanter Middleware, APIs und Industrieschnittstellen
• Leitung von Rollouts in Werken weltweit und Sicherstellung reibungsloser Implementierung
• Übersetzung von Nutzerbedürfnissen in technische Anforderungen für Entwicklerteams
• Aufbau von Nutzerkompetenz und Know-how Transfer zu regionalen und globalen Stakeholdern
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Health & Safety Standards im Feld

IHR PROFIL

• Abschluss in Elektrotechnik, Automatisierung, Industrial Engineering oder Informatik
• Mind. 5 Jahre Erfahrung in Systemintegration in der Prozessindustrie
• Mind. 5 Jahre Erfahrung mit groß angelegten OT/IT-Integrationsprojekten
• Erfahrung im Bereich Digital Twins, Smart Operations Centers oder integrierten Plattformen
• Kenntnis von SAP PM/PP/QM, BW und Cloud APIs
• Analytisches Denken, starke Kommunikationsfähigkeit und Freude an komplexen Umgebungen
• Vorteilhaft: Python oder Open-Source Tools
• Fliessend in Englisch
• Vorteilhaft: Deutsch, Französisch oder Spanisch

Reisetätigkeit

Internationale Reisen bis zu 25 %, hauptsächlich Nordamerika.
