We are hiring a driven Strategic Buyer to join our team in Visp on a 6 months contract. In this role you will manage procurement activities for a defined ADS Platform Raw Materials portfolio and support ADS category strategies implementation in Visp. In this role you will provide effective procurement decisions that enable competitive pricing & continuity of supply for assigned portfolio, step change improvements in quality, service at competitive cost and innovation.

What you will do

• Negotiate and contract the assigned ADS Visp specific portfolio

Deliver measurable value and competitive procurement prices. Work closely with line manager to develop procurement value and identify savings opportunities. Drive tendering, negotiation, contracting and sourcing for assigned materials. Optimize supplier's payment terms.

• Ensure business continuity for assigned portfolio for ADS Visp site

Assess supply base and identify risks of supply disruption or competitiveness gaps.

Propose risk management strategies & appropriate risk mitigations plans. Secure implementation after alignment with line manager.

Ensure appropriate inventory management & safety stock for assigned portfolio.

Manage escalations from Supply Chain to ensure on time in full delivery.

• Support ADS category strategy execution on Visp site in collaboration with Category Managers

Monitor ADS Visp site specific supplier performance in collaboration with Supply Chain and drive site supplier performance improvement

Ensure strong supplier performance through appropriate supplier management (KPIs, follow up...)

• Site Stakeholder Management
  Ensure smooth collaboration with the Visp site key stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance...).

What we are looking for

• BSc degree in Purchasing, Chemical, or Commercial

• Skills in key procurement processes: negotiations, contract management, SAP,..

• Ability to build relationship

• Experience in Direct Procurement (Chemicals,…) is highly preferred

• English fluent, German a strong advantage

• Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
