Role Description

A company is entering a controlled wind-down phase following a strategic decision from its main shareholder.

Although new developments are frozen, the full backend stack must remain stable and operational for the next 12 months while existing engineers gradually leave.

Mission

We are looking for a very senior Haskell engineer who enjoys deep troubleshooting and keeping complex systems healthy. This is not a feature-delivery role. Your mission is to keep the platform running, fix issues only when necessary, and provide surgical patches to ensure service continuity during the transition period.

What you will do

  • Investigate and resolve production issues in a highly distributed Haskell-based ecosystem
  • Apply minimal, high-quality fixes (no large refactoring, no new features) Ensure stability and reliability while the team is gradually reduced
  • Support knowledge transfer and documentation as systems are simplified
  • Collaborate with DevOps to keep the platform stable and cost-controlled
