Responsibilities

• Build and expand a profitable Cyber Insurance (and Technology E&O) portfolio in Switzerland with a clear client-first mindset.
• Work in close partnership with the Manager Cyber Europe and the German Cyber team on priorities, underwriting strategy, key accounts and broker engagement.
• Bring an entrepreneurial mindset: spot opportunities early-on, challenge assumptions, and turn ideas into measurable outcomes.
• Drive innovation and digitization, simplifying processes and using data to improve speed, quality and decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Europe and international to share insights and raise the bar across markets

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Development

• Co-develop distribution plans with the Manager Cyber Europe; own segment initiatives and deliver against growth & profit targets.
• Identify attractive niches within the Cyber/Technology segment: broker/client opportunities and (alternative) distribution channels; develop go ‑ to ‑ market plans and business cases.

Underwriting

• End-to-end underwriting: submission triage, risk analysis, pricing, coverage crafting/wording, terms & conditions, and robust file documentation.
• Develop/adapt solutions for Cyber (and Technology E&O) (stand-alone/package); ensure governance and audit readiness.
• Manage portfolio health (mix, limits, aggregates, rate adequacy) and maintain a disciplined pipeline.
• Provide pragmatic technical support to brokers and insureds.

Cross-functional collaboration

• Partner cross-functionally with Claims, Underwriting Operations, Finance, HR and other underwriting teams to deliver seamless client experience.
• Share best practices, informally mentor less-experienced colleagues, and actively foster a culture of learning and growth.

Innovation

• Pilot new products/features, test digital tools, automate workflows und use data ‑ driven insights.
• Establish feedback loops with brokers/clients to iterate quickly and improve outcomes.

Sales & Distribution

• Develop and grow a knowledgeable producer population, incl. strategic and tactical broker/producer development planning
• Build strong relationships with brokers to ensure the practice meets or exceeds financial goals including growth, profit, retention, and new business

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to laws, sanctions and internal policies, champion underwriting discipline and data quality.

Reporting

• Works in close partnership with the Manager Cyber Europe and the German Cyber Team

Regular exchange with international to share insights and align best practices

Qualifications
Knowledge
, Experience and Competencies

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in Cyber insurance; underwriting experience in Professional Indemnity insurance for ICT companies is a plus
• Experienced in multinational insurance placements
• Strong sense of accountability, fun and adventure
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong business relationships with insureds, brokers and other internal and external stakeholders
• Natural curiosity; lifelong learner with the ability to challenge the status quo; committed to continuously looking for innovative improvements
• Entrepreneurial and outcome ‑ oriented; comfortable taking ownership of decisions.
• Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and negotiation capabilities.
• Digital fluency (Microsoft 365, data handling, new tools) and a continuous ‑ improvement mindset.
• Reliability, integrity, and resilience in a collaborative team environment.
