Mission:

Reporting directly to the VP of RAQA, the Software V&V Architect will play a pivotal role in designing all product tests and evaluation strategies in accordance with applicable quality standards and will participate in all phases of the device development lifecycle to ensure the implementation and automation of verification and validation activities to support the continuous improvement of innovative, safe and high-quality software medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Software V&V Architect will be responsible for designing, coordinating and conducting tests and evaluations to ensure that all features of a product fulfill customer expectations to the required quality level. S/he will also recommend testing methodologies in accordance with quality standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Relying on risk analysis, you will coordinate appropriate V&V activities together with other quality related activities, to improve and validate the design of products, minimize the potential for errors and maximize device quality when used in accordance with its intended use and instructions.
• You will organize and implement state-of-the-art verification & validation methodologies, applying best practice in data analysis and contributing to product quality by facilitating test and product specification development.
• Ensure and perform validation of test environments and software according to internal software validation procedures.
• Prepare prerequisites for testing including writing scripts, data acquisition and environmental conditions.
• Actively participate in protocol creation, hands-on testing, virtual environment design and setup, and documentation of results.
• Develop and refine test protocols, ensuring full traceability from requirements to test execution.
• Designing, implementing and automating test benches and test suites in accordance with quality guidelines
• Collaborate with the QA Sr. V&V Engineer and other team members, to perform all aspects of verification, including functional testing, non-regression testing, integration testing and bug fix verification.
• Ensure that all V&V activities are executed, documented and traced according to internal procedures.
• Interact with the software development team and project management to address issues identified during tests, ensuring software corrections and corrective actions.
• Recommend new testing methodologies and tools, proactively identifying areas for improvement, implementing the changes and documenting them in internal procedures.

What do you need to succeed?

• Ideally a master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, but minimum Bachelor's degree required.
• Extensive and proven experience in managing and executing medical software testing, functional and integration software testing, test automation, SDLC.
• Proficiency in test documentation and traceability.
• Knowledge of Software MD applicable standards, namely IEC 62304, IEC 82304 and IEC 62366
• Experience in risk analysis for medical devices a strong asset
• Experience in designing and leading V&V Tests for Medical Device
• Knowledge of agile and other project management methodologies
• Experience in AI and AI testing a plus
• Fluent in English. Any other language a plus
• Scripting language such as Phyton required, other experience in software programming (C#) an asset
• SQL a plus
• Proficient in usual suite of MS Office and Atlassian tools
• Knowledge of SalesForce and Jira a plus
• Knowledge of testing environments required
