About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Generative AI Developer to design, build, and deploy large-scale AI systems that redefine how organizations in Switzerland leverage artificial intelligence.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers, and product innovators working on LLM-powered applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and multimodal AI pipelines (text, image, code, and audio).

This is a high-impact role for a builder — someone who can take GenAI concepts from prototype to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, fine-tune, and optimize large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific tasks.
  • Design retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines integrating embeddings, vector search, and custom datasets.
  • Develop APIs, microservices, and toolchains to deploy models into production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, product, and cloud) to align AI capabilities with business outcomes.
  • Build and automate evaluation frameworks for generative model quality, latency, and cost efficiency.
  • Integrate with external AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Gemini, etc.) where applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to Swiss and EU data privacy and AI governance standards.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams.

Core Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in AI/ML development, including at least 2 years in Generative AI.
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Transformers (Hugging Face).
  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom RAG frameworks.
  • Expertise in embedding models, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus), and prompt engineering.
  • Hands-on deployment experience with cloud AI stacks (AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI).
  • Strong understanding of MLOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience building production-ready GenAI apps, not just prototypes.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Exposure to multimodal AI (text-to-image, image captioning, or audio models).
  • Experience with low-rank adaptation (LoRA), quantization, and model optimization.
  • Familiarity with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and data governance frameworks.
  • Contributions to open-source AI communities (Hugging Face, GitHub, etc.).
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
