The Opportunity
As a National Key Account Manager, Switzerland, you will manage complex account ecosystems, build long-term relationships with stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities aligned with Astellas' strategic goals. This position requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in oncology, immunology, or rare diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals, hospital networks, and key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute national account plans based on a thorough understanding of the local oncology landscape, particularly GI cancers.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and other Oncology KAM's as well as other internal teams to align efforts and maximize impact.
- Drive educational initiatives, in-service trainings, and product presentations to support appropriate product use and improved patient outcomes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of local market dynamics, treatment pathways, and patient journeys.
- Analyze account data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities, gaps, and required actions.
- Ensure activities comply with relevant company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Substantial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology, immunology, rare diseases or similar therapeutic areas.
- Proven experience in key account management, with ownership of a defined territory.
- Strong understanding of account ecosystems, including clinical decision-making processes, hospital formularies, procurement, and pathway management.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder networks, including key opinion leaders, oncologists, pharmacists, and payers.
- Language skills: German and French mandatory with Italian or English in addition.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience of selling products in Oncology.
- Experience in gastrointestinal oncology is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated success in launching products or driving uptake in specialized therapeutic areas.
- Previous Key Account Manager experience.
- High level of scientific acumen, strategic thinking, and commercial drive.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field, or equivalent.
