Senior Accountant – Real Estate

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the Swiss

entity (Cornerstone One AG), ensuring accurate and timely book closure. This role involves

working closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with Swiss

GAAP, and any other applicable accounting standards.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Responsible for the financial accounting and book-closing process for the Swiss

entity, ensuring compliance with local regulations and accounting standards

(Swiss GAAP).

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and

journal entries.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Swiss entity,

Cornerstone One AG.

Coordinate and manage audits for the Swiss entity, ensuring timely responses to

auditor queries.

Preparation of payments for Cornerstone One AG

1. Budgeting and Forecasting

Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial

analysis for the Swiss entity and the Group.

Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures, providing

insights and recommendations for improvement.

1. Compliance & Taxation

Ensure compliance with Swiss tax laws, VAT, and other regulatory requirements

for the Swiss entity.

Ensure all tax filings and declarations are accurate and submitted on time,

consulting with external advisors as necessary.

Monitor and implement changes in local accounting and tax regulations.

1. Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Participating in developing and maintaining standards and requirements of

CornerstoneONE

Participate in implementation of new tools and systems to enhance reporting and

consolidation capabilities.

1. Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory

authorities.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including property managers,

operations, and Group finance, to provide financial insights and support decisionmaking.

Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and analyses.

Willingness and capability to travel international about 4 times a year

Office based in the office of PSI CRO AG/CornerstoneONE, Zug. Part time home office

is possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

1. Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.

1. Experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in financial accounting and consolidation, preferably within the real estate or related industry.

Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP (IFRS is a plus).

Experience with consolidation software and ERP systems is a plus.

3.1. Qualifications:

Very good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Good knowledge of local tax legislation

Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under tight deadlines

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently but also within a team

3.2. Software:

Computer literate

Basic proficiency in MS Word, proficiency in MS Excel and MS Power Point

Operational knowledge of accounting software

Knowledge of Yardi is an advantage

3.3.Languages

Fluent in German and English, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills (Advanced Level (C1))

Any other language is welcome
