About the Role

We are looking for a skilled
Kafka Specialist
to join our Data Analytics team within the banking sector. While a Kafka team is already in place, the current setup involves parallel streaming of very large data volumes and requires expert support to address performance and integration challenges. This role is essential for optimizing Kafka usage and ensuring seamless integration with our Data Warehousing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Kafka-related issues in high-throughput environments.
  • Enhance Kafka performance and scalability for large-scale parallel data streaming.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to align Kafka architecture with banking data needs.
  • Integrate Kafka with Data Warehousing systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and best practices for Kafka deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience
    working with Apache Kafka in production environments.
  • Proven expertise in
    streaming architectures
    ,
    data pipelines
    , and
    large-scale data processing
    .
  • Experience in the
    banking or financial services industry
    is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of
    data warehousing
    and integration strategies.
  • Ability to work independently in a
    remote setup
    within Switzerland.
