Location:
Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

UST is looking for a talented Full Stack Developer (backend focus) to join our client - a leading Swiss wealth management firm currently undergoing a major transformation program expected to span at least three years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java and
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and UX designers to translate requirements into high-quality code.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with backend systems and third-party services.
  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability across the entire application stack.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices within the development team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with , TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.).
  • Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS (preferably PostgreSQL or Oracle) and SQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial services / wealth management domain.
