THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel for a multinational pharmaceutical company in Switzerland. The Legal Counsel will provide legal support across various domains, with a focus on commercial law. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate a range of contracts, possess multijurisdictional experience, and act as a legal advisor on regional and corporate projects. Proficiency in English is essential for this role, and while proficiency in German is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a legal advisor across various legal areas, providing support to the EU businessManage, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements; maintain standard contract templates to efficiently support business needsProvide legal support in areas such as pharmaceutical and regulatory law, competition law, and litigationParticipate in and contribute legal insights to regional and corporate projects, ensuring compliance with legal standards and mitigating risksConduct legal training sessions for internal teams to facilitate a deeper understanding of legal requirements and best practicesYOUR PROFILE
A university degree in lawMinimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or within the life sciences sectorKnowledge of EU and German pharmaceutical laws, along with a solid foundation in commercial lawExperience or familiarity with compliance and regulatory issues within the pharmaceutical industry is desirableEffective collaboration skills, with the ability to work efficiently in diverse, cross-functional teamsExcellent command of English, both in writing and speaking. Proficiency in German is highly beneficial
