Team Manager – Complex molecule manufacturing – Development & Process Optimization (Ref. 2545)

Basel (re-location supported, including VISA if necessary)

The Team Manager Development & Process Optimization will be given project and team accountability to ensure the quality and timely delivery of customer and internal programs.

You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of highly qualified scientists (USP & DSP) within the Development & Process Optimization group.

Your main tasks

  • Lead customer programs from initiation to the end of manufacturing execution
  • Represent the company in customer meetings and liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead, assess and coach direct reports to build professional scientific rigor and discipline to ensure the successful delivery of customer programs
  • Manage seamless collaboration with critical functions such as Quality, Regulatory, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain etc.
  • Improve processes and communication to enhance professionalism while minimizing unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and drive, with the ability to balance technical and business topics effectively
  • Ensure GLP, GMP and HSE practices and rules are implemented and followed at the facilities

Your profile

  • Direct experience in Biologics manufacturing, ideally in a CDMO environment (CHO cell line experience is a plus)
  • Master's degree in engineering/life sciences related field
  • Driven and inspirational leader, able to effectively motivate and coach others
  • Results-oriented, not afraid of taking on new challenges or calculated risks
  • Collaborative mindset, both internally as well as in partnerships with external clients
  • Disciplined and able to work autonomously to meet timelines
  • Confident use of English, any additional language is a plus
