On behalf of our client, a mid-sized Swiss organisation in the life sciences sector, we are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to support the modernisation of their IT landscape. The company is driving major digitalisation initiatives, automation projects, and ongoing infrastructure lifecycle upgrades across a nationwide operation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a mixed on-prem and cloud (Azure/SaaS) infrastructure
  • Provide 2nd-level support and solve complex system issues
  • Deliver upgrade and expansion projects across client/server environments
  • Coordinate and manage external partners and vendors
  • Support change, incident, and problem management processes
  • Maintain documentation and streamline operational workflows
  • Contribute to digitalisation efforts and the rollout of new SaaS solutions

Must-have

  • Experience with Linux and/or SQL/databases
  • Strong understanding of on-prem networking (routing, switching, firewalls)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services (APIs, identity, integrations)
  • Solid Microsoft admin skills (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP)

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Citrix or Nutanix
  • Knowledge of Infoblox, MS Defender, AppSense, PRTG
  • Background in lifecycle management, upgrades, or industrial/medical IT
  • Certifications (ITIL, Linux, SQL, Microsoft)

Languages

  • German and English fluent
  • French nice to have
