About the Company
We are a growing hardware manufacturer developing innovative physical products that combine engineering excellence with real-world usability. Our teams work closely across product, engineering, and operations to take products from early development through to full-scale production. Quality is central to everything we do, and we are building robust processes to support reliable, high-performing hardware at scale.
The Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will support quality activities across the full product lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet defined requirements and customer expectations. This role offers hands-on exposure to testing, validation, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced hardware environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Quality Activities:
Assist with quality assurance initiatives throughout development, prototyping, and production phases. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to understand requirements and support quality checks against specifications. - QA Process Execution:
Contribute to the creation, execution, and improvement of QA processes, including test plans, validation activities, and basic quality metrics. - Hands-On Testing & Validation:
Perform practical testing and validation, identify defects, document findings, and support root cause analysis. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain clear and accurate records of test results, quality activities, and issues, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders. - Customer-Focused Quality:
Support the integration of customer feedback into product improvements and quality enhancements. - Continuous Improvement:
Proactively suggest improvements to quality processes, tools, and ways of working as products and teams evolve.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years' experience in a quality, testing, or engineering support role (experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is an advantage).
- Basic understanding of quality principles and standards (e.g. ISO, Six Sigma, or similar), with a strong willingness to deepen expertise.
- Some hands-on experience with testing, validation, and quality-related documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, problem-solving mindset.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment and motivated to grow responsibilities and technical skill sets over time.
