About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary
Data Science Manager
to lead our data science team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for
managing a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts
, developing advanced analytical models, and implementing scalable data solutions that support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in machine learning, data strategy, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing
    data science team
    to deliver impactful business insights.
  • Define and execute the
    data science strategy
    aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the development, validation, and deployment of
    machine learning and AI models
    for predictive analytics and optimization.
  • Partner with business units to identify
    data-driven opportunities
    and design actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure
    data quality, infrastructure scalability, and model integration
    .
  • Drive
    experimentation, model performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
    .
  • Translate complex analytical findings into
    clear business recommendations and executive presentations
    .
  • Ensure compliance with
    data privacy regulations (GDPR)
    and ethical AI principles.
  • Stay current with
    emerging technologies, algorithms, and best practices
    in data science and AI.
  • Manage
    project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations
    .

Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in
    data science, machine learning, or analytics
    , with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in
    Python, R, and SQL
    , and familiarity with data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with
    big data technologies
    (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop) and
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Solid understanding of
    MLOps, model deployment, and production pipelines
    .
  • Proven track record of delivering
    data science solutions that drive measurable business value
    .
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and data-driven environment.
  • Fluent in
    English
    ;
    German or French
    is an advantage.
