Senior Azure DevOps / Cloud Engineer

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Azure DevOps/Cloud Engineer to serve as a core subject matter expert, driving the development, security, and operation of cutting-edge, cloud-native platforms for our customers.

This is more than a deployment role—it's about defining the future of cloud operations and building a robust, secure, and scalable DevOps culture.

You will be the driving force behind our customers' Azure success, focusing on robust Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), advanced CI/CD pipelines, and seamless application integration.

  • Azure Platform Architecture: Lead the design and continuous evolution of customer Azure environments, with a relentless focus on automation, security, and enterprise-grade scalability.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code Mastery: Own the automated provisioning and configuration of all cloud resources using Bicep (and/or Terraform).
  • CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Implement, maintain, and optimize sophisticated deployment pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise for rapid, secure, and repeatable releases.
  • Cloud-Native Operations: Manage and integrate core cloud services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Bus, and supporting technologies like Kong, Apache Airflow, and managed databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Security & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to security best practices, defining and implementing standards for identity management, network segmentation, and proactive monitoring across the entire Azure environment.
  • Expert Consulting & Mentorship: Act as the 3rd-level technical escalation point, providing expert consultation to customers, internal teams, and supporting sales during the technical quotation and presentation phases.
  • Drive DevOps Culture: Actively collaborate with development teams to integrate modern practices, share knowledge, conduct workshops, and help our customers adopt a successful, end-to-end DevOps model.

Essential Skills:

  • Senior Experience: Several years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps, with a clear and proven track record on Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure Mastery: Very good, hands-on knowledge of the entire Azure cloud platform and its core services.
  • Automation Specialist: Expert-level experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/Terraform) and advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Containerization Fluency: Strong practical experience with Docker/Kubernetes orchestration, ideally within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Security & Database: Proficient in Linux system administration, bash scripting, and possessing solid working knowledge of SQL (especially practical experience with PostgreSQL).
  • Structured Mindset: Proven ability to handle complex incidents and confidently define technical systems, standards, and governance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Completed training or studies in computer science (e.g., Computer Scientist EFZ/HF/FH/Uni) or an equivalent technical qualification.
