Windows Engineer for a bank in Lugano:

We are currently looking for a Windows Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Security team in Lugano.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructures (2016/2019/2022) and related core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).

Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments.

Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and updates.

Automate tasks and repetitive activities using PowerShell scripting.

Apply system patches, updates, and implement security policies.

Manage user access, permissions, and group policies across hybrid environments.

Collaborate with other IT teams to design, deploy and document new solutions or upgrades.

Support virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V) and monitor infrastructure performance.

Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience as a System Engineer or Windows Administrator.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server platforms and Active Directory architecture.

Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Azure AD.

Practical knowledge of PowerShell scripting.

Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Familiarity with monitoring, patch management, and security tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, Intune).

Good understanding of network principles and security best practices.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Good communication skills in English (Italian knowledge is a plus).
