Minimum qualifications:

With YouTube (YT) growing every year and the threat of adversaries creating abusive videos at scale with GenAI, we need to massively increase our ability to remove videos without relying on human reviews as much as we do today. By joining the Video Abuse Detection team at YT Trust and Safety, you will join a very visible project and a fun team to make this big change happen.

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Perform data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python in Colab) to gain insights on how to reach our detection goals; Perform model experiments, analyze them, and build graph-based classifiers; Work with research and other engineering teams to identify and deploy graph-based solutions.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies; Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
