Job description

  1. Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data warehouse solutions on
    AWS Redshift
    . This includes defining data models, schema design, and cluster configurations.
  2. Optimizing
    Redshift query performance
    , resource management, and overall cluster efficiency. This might involve query tuning, workload management, and data distribution strategies.
  3. Designing and overseeing the development of Extract, Transform, Load (
    ETL
    ) or Extract, Load, transform (
    ELT
    ) pipelines for data ingestion from various sources into Redshift, often leveraging AWS Glue, Lambda, and other services.
  4. Implementing and managing data security, compliance protocols, and access controls within the Redshift environment and integrated AWS services.
  5. Working closely with data engineers, data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  6. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to Redshift clusters, data pipelines, and data warehousing processes.
  7. Staying updated with AWS Redshift best practices, new features, and providing technical guidance or mentorship to junior team members
  8. Good experience on Life science is mandatory
  9. Good experience on AWS platform is mandatory
