Bike Engineer

You will be integrated into our Syncros engineering team to develop components and accessories, from concept definition to the final product ready to be manufactured. Therefore, you will have the responsibility to:

· Define the technical specifications with the Product Managers.

· Search for new concepts / solutions in close collaboration with other teams.

· Support designers and 3D modelers during the design phase.

· Set up, coordinate and follow up planning and milestones meetings on your projects from research phase to industrialization.

· Validate the function and dimensioning of the concepts / solutions.

· Provide 3Ds to the simulation team and validate together the concepts or production files.

· Handle or model the industrial 3D file in close relation with Designers and factories.

· Validate tooling, material choice and process.

· Follow up the tests to reach the performance and product safety / life-time targets.

· Visit the suppliers to validate the process.

· Assist our marketing team with preparing workshops and shows.

· Manage your assigned projects (respect of timelines until the start of production).

· Coordinate and follow design phase, 3D modeling and industrialization.

· Validation of all technical aspects of the products with the Product Managers and different suppliers.

We expect:

· Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (University or School of technology)

· Minimum 3 years of experience in product development in the field of sport products and/or consumer goods.

· Advanced user knowledge of 3D software (Creo is a plus).

· Ability to work in an engineering team, with proven collaboration skills.

· Project management experience.

· Creativity and an appreciation of good design.

· User knowledge of FEA software (Simulate / Ansys is a plus).

· Knowledge with manufacturing process composite, machining, forging, plastic injection.

· Proactive, capacity to demonstrate self-awareness and to challenge the status quo.

· Willingness to travel.

· Fluent in English, French and/or German is a plus.

· Avid Biker.

· Knowledge of bicycle mechanics as a plus.

· Bike components and wheels knowledge as a plus.
