The Position

To do so, we have formed the PT Digital and Operational Excellence (PTE) organization with the aspiration to digitally transform and optimize to become a lean organization.

The Head of PT Business IT OT Architecture & Standardization is responsible for PT's future-ready digital IT/OT landscape. This critical role translates business strategies into leading IT/OT architectures and ensures their realization in close collaboration with IT colleagues. You will evolve our cutting-edge Smart Manufacturing architecture, standardize and simplify our IT and OT technology stack in close collaboration with other stakeholders in PT and IT. You will also lead a diverse team of business architects and analysts to ensure new data and digital solutions adhere to IT enterprise standards and enable PT's ambitious digital transformation.

Furthermore, you will align the PT digital portfolio with strategic investments in new IT/OT technologies and lead the digital-focused Capability Team—a matrixed team of key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from PT business functions, IT and OT. As the owner of the portfolio for new IT OT standards, you will ensure effective governance. This role demands a strategic leader with exceptional business acumen, capable of translating business needs, orchestrating the implementation of IT and OT technology standards, removing obstacles to execution, and building strong partnerships with stakeholders to drive digital transformation and deliver measurable business value.

The Opportunity

• Translate business strategies into future technology requirements and ensure we have a state-of-the-art IT OT environment that supports our critical business processes linked to clear business priorities and outcomes
• Provide strategic leadership for the design, development, and evolution of PT's future-proof Smart Manufacturing architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and leading industry best practices
• Ensure PTs ITOT landscape meets future business needs and be accountable for the standardization and simplification of PT's technology stack, driving efficiency, reducing complexity, and enhancing scalability across global operations in close partnership with ITOT and IT
• Own and drive the effectiveness and rigor of the Digital Data Backbone Capability Team within the Technology Portfolio Committee (TPC) process, acting as the accountable owner for the new technology portfolio and champion the radical simplification and standardization of our current technology stack to reduce complexity, increase efficiency, and enable faster innovation
• Build, mentor, mobilize, and empower a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team of Business Architects, Business Analysts and Business Product Owners
• Masterfully navigate the complex stakeholder network across PT, global functions, ITOT, and IT leading through influence to build consensus and ensure strategic alignment, buy-in, and successful delivery of digital initiatives
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, learning from failures, and adapting to evolving technological landscapes

Who You Are

• 12+ years of progressive experience in ITOT architecture, digital transformation, or technology strategy roles within a complex, global manufacturing or technical operations environment, preferably in life sciences/pharma and 7+ years of senior leadership experience, specifically building, developing, and leading multi-disciplinary and matrix teams
• Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated mastery of leading through influence, negotiating, and building consensus within a complex global matrix organization
• Proven track record of successfully standardizing technology stacks, designing and implementing complex industrial architectures, and driving simplification initiatives at scale
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, data integrity, cybersecurity in OT) and experience ensuring compliance through architectural design
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the proven ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear strategic directions and actionable plans
• Superior communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, capable of engaging, aligning, and building consensus with diverse senior stakeholders across technical and business functions
