Present in Switzerland since 1927 SGCIB Zurich Branch offers local and cross-border expertise providing a full range of financial services to its clients with a particular focus on securities, services to foreign funds, trade finance and cash management services.

As a bank, we are required to provide our clients, partners, employees but also the regulators with an irreproachable level of service, including in regulatory terms, which is increasingly important in the control of our economies. Compliance with the regulations is a key advantage for the Group that will enable us to fully embody the trusted partner that we wish to be for our clients. Client protection systems and the optimization of client onboarding through KYC (Know your customer) information are all competitive advantages that will enable us to be even closer to the needs of our clients and provide us with levers for transformation and progress.  

Due to its role, compliance contributes fully to the positive impact that the Group wishes to have on the transformation of our societies. Therefore, preventing market manipulation, managing tax transparency, combating money laundering, the financing of terrorism or corruption are all tasks that fall within the scope of compliance and contribute to the positive transformation of our economies. Because compliance concerns us all, each person must act in accordance with the regulations regardless of their position in the Group. Enhancing our Compliance culture and the robustness of our system are therefore our priorities. 

As a business partner, CPLE supports the all the activities of the Bank on a day-to-day basis in studying cases, playing an advisory and warning role in the event of non-compliance with the regulations. This partnership is essential in order to carry out our banking activity in accordance with the regulations and ensure the sustainable development of our business.

Mission\: 

As Member of the SG Zürich Compliance department, you will have access to a broad range of Compliance topics which will allow you to learn many aspects of Compliance. You will work directly with the Head of Compliance Switzerland.  

Tasks and responsibilities:

Contribution to a broad range of Compliance topicsAnalyze KYC Onboarding and Review requests and issue a Compliance OpinionHandle the daily Sanctions & Embargoes screening including alert management Review of Transactions that include red flagsPerform Permanent Supervision Controls on various SubjectsAdvise related to internal policiesContribution to various projects of the departmentMonitoring of gift & eventsContribution to training actionsCompliance reportingAdministrative support to the Head of Compliance

Studies & experience:

Banking Apprenticeship or HFBF or Bachelor or Master's degreeExperience in Banking or Compliance is an advantage

Language skills:

Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)French would be an advantage but not essential

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applicationAbility to learn new toolsTeam playerFast learnerMotivated to work and to learnMotivated to do repetitive tasks as wellPositive & flexible mindset
