Job Title: Automation Specialist – Emerson DeltaV SystemsContextTo support our growing projects in the life sciences and biotech industries, Inova is seeking an Automation Specialist experienced with Emerson DeltaV technologies.The consultant will reinforce our client's automation department in the configuration, programming, and commissioning of control systems for new and existing production units within a GMP-regulated environment.Role & ResponsibilitiesConfigure, program, and test Emerson DeltaV control systems for pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing processes.Participate in FAT/SAT activities, system commissioning, and qualification phases (IQ/OQ).Collaborate with process engineering, validation, and IT/OT teams to ensure system integration and data integrity.Troubleshoot automation issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.Contribute to the drafting and review of URS, FS, DS, and validation documentation.Ensure adherence to GMP, GAMP5, and internal automation standards.Support continuous improvement and harmonization of control strategies across production lines.Participate in automation change management and deviation resolution activities.Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience3 to 15 years of professional experience in automation engineering, preferably within GMP-regulated environments (pharma, biotech, chemicals).Demonstrated hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV systems (configuration, commissioning, batch control, troubleshooting).Technical SkillsStrong expertise in DeltaV automation platforms (Batch configuration, SFCs, phases, modules).Knowledge of automation architectures, field instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols.Experience with FAT/SAT execution, equipment integration, and qualification documentation.Familiarity with GAMP5, CSV, and data integrity principles.Proficiency with MS Office and industrial documentation tools.Experience with other platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff) is a plus.Personal SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Rigorous, autonomous, and organized approach to project execution.Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.Capacity to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Open-mindedness and curiosity for new technologies and digitalization trends in manufacturing.LanguagesFluent French (minimum B2 level required) -> Mandatory Requirement.English: Professional working level (B1 minimum).About InovaInova Consulting SA is a Swiss consulting company specialized in engineering, quality, and digital transformation for the life sciences industry.We provide experienced consultants and engineers to help our clients design, deploy, and optimize their production and quality systems.Our team also develops and customizes AI-based tools to accelerate investigations, improve process reliability, and enhance compliance in regulated environments.Inova promotes an ethical, inclusive, and equality-based workplace where diversity, integrity, and respect guide every collaboration.
