Job Description

The Software Associate supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads. This role is ideal for entry-level professionals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in software development, testing, and deployment while contributing to real-world projects in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about technology, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving software tools and processes. The Software Associate works across various stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to help deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software applications.
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting of issues in existing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, product managers, and QA teams to meet project objectives.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
  • Help maintain databases, APIs, and integration workflows.
  • Learn and implement new programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Assist with software deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production environments.
  • Follow Agile or Scrum methodologies in daily development activities.
  • Contribute to team discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internship experience acceptable).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or C++.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies, APIs, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
