We are Hapimag: a sharing community for vacation rentals. We own and operate 56 vacation rentals in various popular destinations across Europe – by the sea, in the mountains and in cities. And why? Because we want to go on vacation in a relaxed and mindful way. We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Head of Group Controlling at our headquarters (HQ) in Steinhausen to ensure informed strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the CFO. Through active controlling, you will promote the early detection of deviations. You will lead the Group Controlling function, acting as a Sparring Partner, proactively driving financial transparency and enabling the optimal allocation of resources across our international operations.
What you can expect
  • Act as a central and trusted Sparring Partner to the Executive Board, Leadership Team, Area Offices, Resort Managers, and Central Department Heads.

  • Provide financial consultation and expertise to shape strategic projects.

  • Lead the entire budgeting process, including managing the budget round and preparing final reports for the Board of Directors.

  • Oversee the Forecasting process for the overall company, covering Resorts, Area Offices, and Central Departments.
  • Be responsible for the Capex process (Capital Expenditure) and ensure its adherence to internal and external guidelines.

  • Own the preparation and continuous development of the monthly Management Report.

  • Act as the System Administrator for the central Planning and Reporting Tool and drive further development and optimization

  • Lead the development and implementation of new reportings and dashboards.

  • Lead and manage the employee(s) within Group Controlling (currently 1 direct report).

  • Provide guidance in Controlling to Area Controllers in various international locations, organize and lead Controller Meetings to ensure alignment and best practice sharing across the group.
What you bring along
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as Head of Group Controlling.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in working with international teams.
  • Fluent in both German and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in managing and leading employees (1-2 reports).
  • Strong collaborative spirit and proven teamwork abilities.
  • Proven experience with major ERP Systems (esp. SAP FI/CO) and specialized corporate Planning and Reporting Tools (e.g., Anaplan, CCH Tagetik, etc.)
  • CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accountancy qualification is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to demonstrate complex financial data clearly and persuasively to senior management and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in Controlling within the Real Estate or Hospitality Industry is a plus
