About Us

Vestir AI is building the next generation of AI-powered virtual try-on technology for online fashion retail. We are partnering with one of the world's leading universities to develop breakthrough computer vision and generative modelling capabilities that will transform how consumers shop for clothing online.

Our mission is bold and simple:
we are recreating the in-store fitting room experience, online.

We are a B2B-first company working closely with fashion retailers to deliver a seamless, accurate and highly engaging virtual try-on experience. The product you build will directly power the future of digital fashion commerce.

We are now looking for a top class CTO to lead product development, establish our engineering culture, and translate our cutting-edge AI research into a robust, scalable commercial platform.

What You'll Do

This role is ideal for a hands-on builder with strategic vision: someone who can lead on architecture, delivery, integration and hiring, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. Initially the role is fractional, increasing to full time as we build & scale. You will work with our AI Research Team & Head of Development in the early stages to orchestrate the initial tech build.

Product & Technology Leadership:

  • Define and own the technical vision, architecture, and long-term technology roadmap alongside the Co-Founders
  • Oversee the initial product build from MVP to scalable production platform
  • Translate advanced AI research into commercial-grade, real-time virtual try-on capabilities
  • Ensure the product is secure, compliant, performant, and built for enterprise-grade reliability, keeping our company and customer data safe

AI Commercialisation & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with our research team to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and market-ready implementation
  • Help turn prototype models into scalable services, pipelines, and integrations suitable for high-volume retail environments

Go-To-Market Delivery:

  • Partner with the Co-founders to deliver our first commercial pilots and live retailer deployments
  • Own technical implementation and client onboarding for early B2B customers
  • Build robust APIs, SDKs, data pipelines and model-serving infrastructure compatible with retailer tech stacks

Team Building & Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering organisation across product & engineering
  • Mentor and support the team; set the culture of excellence from day one
  • Establish engineering best practices, processes, workflow automation, and documentation standards

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previously served as a CTO or Number 2 in a startup or high-growth technology company - this is a non-negotiable
  • Understanding of AI/ML systems, computer vision, generative modeling, or 3D graphics - enough to collaborate meaningfully with academic researchers
  • Strong full-stack or backend engineering experience with scalable, production-grade systems
  • Demonstrated ability to ship complex products end-to-end in fast-moving environments, ideally in eCommerce
  • Experience building and managing high-performing product and engineering teams

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in fashion tech, e-commerce, 3D modelling, or real-time rendering
  • Experience deploying ML systems with strict performance / latency constraints
  • Prior work with enterprise retail integrations or SaaS platforms
  • Understanding of apparel sizing, human body modelling, segmentation, or pose estimation

Personal Qualities:

  • Builder mentality: scrappy, hands-on, hungry to move forwards
  • Comfortable with experimentation, ambiguity, and rapid iteration
  • Commercial mindset focused on customer impact and product quality
  • Excellent communicator who can work across business, research, and engineering domains

What You'll Get

  • The opportunity to reinvent how millions of consumers shop for clothing online
  • The chance to commercialise breakthrough AI research with a world-class academic partner
  • Significant influence over product, culture, and trajectory
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
