Overall Mission

  • Full responsibility for planning, realization, and ramp-up of the Smart Factory intralogistics (this includes warehousing and production)
  • Ensure an end-to-end material flow solution from goods receipt to goods issue.
  • Develop an integrated and automated "Zero Touch Logistics"

Key Responsibilities:

You are basically responsible for planning, building, and starting up a fully automated, "zero-touch" Smart Factory logistics system from end to end.

  • Understand all needs from production, quality, IT, purchasing, and other teams, and turn them into one clear logistics concept.
  • Design the full material flow in the factory (from goods arriving to goods shipping), including data, processes, storage, packaging, and automation.
  • Select the best partners and technologies (robots, software, warehouse systems) and manage contracts and cooperation.
  • Define performance targets (speed, accuracy, uptime) and create dashboards to measure them.
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss safety and building standards and coordinate with architects and construction.
  • Create the business case, calculate costs, and recommend make-or-buy options.
  • Write detailed specifications and lead implementation, testing, system integration, and data migration.
  • Manage go-live and ramp-up, ensure the system works, and set up the long-term support and improvement structure.

In summary, this person is the project lead who designs, builds, and launches a fully automated factory logistics system — from idea to go-live.
Your profile:

  • Education background in Industrial Logistics, Logistics Automation, Production Logistics, Intralogistics Engineering, Intralogistics/Factory Planning, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experienced in WAREHOUSE INTRALOGISTICS and automated Production Design (material flow engineering, tender management, supplier negotiation).
  • You bring 7+ years of experience in intralogistics planning, logistics automation, or smart factory intralogistics projects – ideally with end-to-end responsibility from concept to go-live
  • Work experience in leading multiple warehouse automation and intralogistics projects across various industries
  • Experienced in providing comprehensive logistics planning and implementation support, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
  • Experienced in INTRALOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT (building the entire intralogistics and warehouse organization from the ground up)
  • Experienced in relocation - transitioning operations to a new facility with no disrucption to production
  • Strong communication skills
  • You are fluent in English and fluent in German
