**PhD student in Forensic Toxicology

Januar 2026**
Alkoholkonsummarker wie Phosphatidylethanol, Ethylglucuronid und Ethylsulfat werden in der Abteilung Forensische Toxikologie und Chemie (FTC) unter Leitung von Prof. Weinmann seit mehreren Jahren und in vielfältigen Kooperationsprojekten erforscht.

Für den neuen potentiellen Alkoholmarker EtoChoP (ethylated phosphorylcholin) soll Grundlagenforschung im Rahmen einer Dissertation durchgeführt werden, z.B. zu dessen Bildung, Nachweis in Körperflüssigkeiten und Haaren, Stabilität, Elimination, Spezifität und Selektivität.

Aufgaben

  • Einsatz von massenspektrometrischen Methoden (LC-MS/MS, QToF-MS/MS) für den neuen potentiellen Alkoholbiomarker EtoChoP (ethylated phosphorylcholin)
  • Entwicklung und Validierung von Nachweismethoden mit LC-MS/MS
  • Bestimmung von EtoChoP mit LC-MS/MS in Probenmaterial von Trinkversuchen und von Alkoholentzugs-/Entwöhnungstherapien
  • Untersuchung der enzymatischen Bildung von EtoChoP durch Lipasen
  • Anfertigung einer (kumulativen) Dissertation
  • Publikationen und Vorträge (bei nationalen und internationalen Tagungen)

Anforderungen

  • Abgeschlossenes Master-Studium Chemie, Biochemie, Pharmazie oder Vergleichbares
  • Interesse für Zusammenarbeit mit medizinischen Abteilungen (z.B. Inselspital)
  • Betreuung von zwei bis drei Masterstudent/innen im eigenen Forschungsgebiet
  • Mitwirkung in Projekten der Arbeitsgruppe mit Bezug zur Forensischen Toxikologie
  • Gute Englisch-Kenntnisse zum Verfassen von wissenschaftlichen Publikationen und Vorträgen
  • Bereitschaft zur Einbringung in die forensisch-toxikologische Routinetätigkeit und gegebenenfalls Befunderstellung (max. 10 % der Tätigkeit)
