AWS Data engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipelines:
    Design, build, and maintain robust ELT/ETL pipelines on AWS (Redshift, RDS, S3), leveraging dbt (Core/Cloud; dbt Docs) and Informatica where applicable.
  • SQL Excellence:
    Write advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, complex joins) for transformations, data quality checks, and performance tuning, primarily targeting Redshift/RDS/Oracle/PostgreSQL.
  • Version Control:
    Design, build, and maintain robust ELT/ETL pipelines on AWS (Redshift, RDS, S3), leveraging dbt (Core/Cloud; dbt Docs) and Informatica where applicable.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with business and analytics teams (French/English) to translate requirements into scalable data products; provide clear documentation via dbt Docs.

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL: Complex queries using CTEs and window functions.
  • AWS: Redshift, RDS, S3.
  • dbt: Core & Cloud, dbt Docs.
  • Version Control: GitHub/GitLab

Nice to Have

  • Data modelling (Data Vault, Star/Snowflake, 3NF, data mesh)
  • Data migration experience (ideally to AWS)
  • Databases: Oracle BD, PostgreSQL
  • Informatica (data pipeline)
  • Bash/Shell Scripting
  • AWS: Lambda, IAM
  • Domain knowledge: Ideally experience in Alternative Investments (Private Assets and/or Hedge Funds)
