YourCareer: Sales Manager Defence

Your Responsibilities
- You represent the Business Unit Combustion Engines to our Defence customers across all phases of the sales and project life cycle – from initial contact to after-sales support
- You identify and understand customer needs, gather and structure relevant information, and coordinate internally to ensure expectations are addressed effectively
- You collaborate closely within the Defence Team to prepare quotations and ensure competitive offers
- You contribute to the development of customer-specific offer concepts, ensuring alignment with market and localization requirements during tender and bidding processes
- You bring together internal specialists to shape solutions that support customer and business success
- You act as a key interface between the customer and internal teams – ensuring smooth communication, mutual understanding, and project progression
- You serve as a liaison between the customer and internal departments, ensuring clear communication and smooth project progression
- You stay up to date with market trends and developments in the Defence sector to help guide sales strategy and identify new opportunities
Your Profile
- You have a solid background in Defence sales, business development, or key account management, specifically within the land Defence sector
- You have previous working experience with customers in the Defence industry, industrial propulsion, combustion engine, or similar
- You have a proven track record in successful customer acquisition, proposal preparation, and long-term client support with an ability to handle sensitive data confidentially
- You are highly customer-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a structured, solution-driven approach to your work
- Your solution and goal-orientation paired with a hands-on mentality will ensure your success
- You are willing and able to travel as required to meet customer and project needs
- You have excellent skills in English, any additional language is a plus
