About the Role

School of Tomorrow is looking for a dynamic and innovative Digital Learning Expert who not only ensures that our school's technology runs smoothly but also inspires staff and students to use digital tools – especially AI – creatively. This role combines technical troubleshooting with a passion for education, exploration of new apps, and supporting meaningful learning experiences. We are looking for an expert in technology with a strong focus and expertise in AI and education, to help harness the power of artificial intelligence within the classroom, for students as well as for teachers.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Technology Integration

  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate apps, platforms, and digital tools into lessons.
  • Research, test, and recommend innovative, AI-driven, learning technologies aligned with the school's vision.
  • Deliver short training sessions and ongoing support for teachers, students, and parents.

Student Engagement

  • Lead clubs, workshops, or projects that encourage students to explore coding, robotics, digital storytelling, or other creative tech skills.
  • Support digital citizenship initiatives to ensure students use technology responsibly and safely.

Technical Support

  • Provide day-to-day troubleshooting for hardware, software, networks, and classroom technology.
  • Manage student and staff devices, accounts, and digital security.
  • Maintain and update school IT systems and ensure smooth operation of online learning platforms.

Professional Development & Innovation

  • Stay updated with emerging EdTech trends and tools.
  • Design and deliver professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Act as a bridge between pedagogy and technology, suggesting new ways to enhance teaching and learning.

What you bring

  • Strong IT skills: troubleshooting devices, managing networks, and supporting cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience with or interest in educational technology tools (apps, learning platforms, coding, STEM resources) as well as AI.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting teachers.
  • Proficient in (Swiss) German and English
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
  • Prior experience in a school or educational environment is a plus.
