Director, Executive and Leadership Communications

**Overview**:
The **Director, Executive and Leadership Communications **is responsible for supporting the preparation and management of all aspects of internal communications, key international programs and external thought leadership opportunities for the Executive Team member responsible for Human Health International.

Support for the Executive Team member should be strategic, proactive, inspirational and supports business goals. As such, this leader will work closely with Operational Excellence lead and other key stakeholders to manage and coordinate the details of Executive Team member’s internal and external engagements. This will include leading preparations and day-of support for public speaking engagements, public appearances, speeches and employee engagements, in coordination with the broader Corporate Affairs team.

**Scope of work and core responsibilities includes**:

- Develop and implement internal and executive communications strategies for Executive Team member that strengthen company's reputation and brand with employees, and align with the overall business strategy
- Ensure consistent and timely information to employees through various communications programs and channels, including town halls
- Provide advice and support for Executive Team member’s internal and external engagements, ensuring they are using consistent messaging that aligns with the greater communications strategy
- Create clear and inspirational content for the leader and related key engagement initiatives
- Manage approvals of communications requests for the Executive Team
- Monitor and report on employee experience and engagement
- Set measurable goals for execution of the internal and executive communications plan and ensure progress is tracked and reported
- Work collaboratively with the Human Health Executive and Leadership Communications team and across Corporate Affairs to deliver holistic internal communications programs

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum 8 years’ experience with a focus in employee engagement, corporate and executive communications (including speech writing)
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Proven experience confidently interacting with and counseling corporate executives and key internal partners with best in-class communication practices, and ensuring messaging is consistent across the organization
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including successfully managing major projects and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Creative thinker and passionate about building culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Organized with attention to detail
- Strong project management skills with proven success managing major projects
- Exceptional business acumen with agility in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive with ability to “see” around corners and anticipate needs of our executives
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in public relations, external engagement and corporate reputation a plus
- Experience in healthcare industry, including large Fortune 500 companies, preferred
- Experience at a PR agency or equivalent welcome
