FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenges by disrupting the building insulation market. Based on an innovative foaming technique, we produce high-performance insulation foams made from abandoned waste materials. We are looking for an intern with knowledge in materials, to join our Production Team with his/her hands-on attitude and creativity.

Tasks
- Support the production team to make the product ready to enter the market
- Support planning and implementing the scale-up of new products
- Planning and improvement of production processes through the more efficient design of individual process steps
- Specifically, planning and integration of sensors to reach process intelligence
- Support in carrying out hardware and software improvements on the pilot production line
- Co-development of a system for production tracking and quality control
- Material characterisation and support for the certification efforts
- Support the production team and specifically the process engineer on other issues as required

**Requirements**:

- FH/ETH materials science, mechanical engineering or civil engineering with knowledge/ passion for materials
- Plus: engaged in extra-curricular activities e.g. Student team, Student Project House, Betonkanu,
- Hands-on attitude and technical understanding
- Entrepreneurial and inventive thinking
- Systematic problem solving skills
- Team-oriented and reliable
- Shows initiative and interest in additional tasks
- High level of commitment
- Good English and German skills
- Knowledge in Arduino, RaspberryPi, Python, CAD is a plus
