**R&D Operations Manager**:

**Your responsibilities**:

- Leading the operations team, providing guidance, coaching and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of R&D operations global strategies to drive improvements for productivity, efficiency and quality;
- Drive change and continuous improvements, going from process legacy to a clear but flexible operational model ready for growth in line with long-term strategies;
- Coordinate and supervise global distributed R&D capabilities hosted across the sites in areas of DevOps, ECM, Release Process, Engineering Standards, Testing and Certification;
- Develop, track and analyse key performance indicators to measure and drive success of R&D initiatives;
- Ensure adherence of product and operational compliance processes, including e.g., information management, 3rd party certifica-tion, safety and security, export controls and sustainability;
- Maintain a state-of-the-art global R&D infrastructure in IS/IT domain and act as main interface toward global IS/IT function;
- Set up capability management within ABB Robotics R&D and act as the main interface toward sites in global matters such as footprint, growth, competency development and succession planning;
- Identify and incorporate the latest industry best practices and technological advancements into our R&D processes and opera-tional strategies;
- Promote a culture of Excellence in Innovation, speed and responsiveness within the R&D teams that aligns with our strategic objectives and positions us as a leader in the industry;
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30%.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred;
- At least 10 years in an R&D environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role with proven experience in managing large scale, globally distributed teams;
- Strong leadership skills, with an ability to drive and manage change;
- Profound problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities;
- Entrepreneur with a structured, systematic approach in combination with a convincing and enthusiastic personality;
- Collaborative, communicative and highly socially skilled manager that works both as a reliable leader and a team player.
