Hobson Prior are looking for a Junior Scientist to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis. Our client is focused on offering life-changing treatments across various illnesses.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this role, you will form statistical strategies to summarise the homogeneity of particles mixtures.
- Produce high quality EM data to qualify formulations in genomic medicines.
- Responsible for electron microscopy (EM) on proteins and any other biological matter.
- Manage operations of sputter-coating equipment.
- Handle EM image processing and 3D reconstruction.
- Display data to bioanalytical groups in research and technical development.
- Accountable for EM sample planning which involves cryogenic plans.

**Key Skills**:

- Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Eager to learn.
- Fluency in the English language.

**Requirements**:

- Educated to a degree level in a pertinent life science discipline oriented on lab work.
- At least 2 years of experience in ground-breaking cryo-EM and consequently can take cryo-EM project from a biological sample to a high-resolution structure.
- At least 2 years of experience in EM sample planning techniques which involves cryogenic plannings, staining practices and operation of sputter-coating equipment.
- Acquaintance with image processing routines and 3D reconstruction.
