The Sub Regional Front Risk Manager (SRFRM) supports the frontline, especially the Sub Region Head Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) in the management and control of risks. Where required, the SRFRM advices on risk related matters, supports/performs controls, reviews the quality of the key controls and enhances the frontline Risk Management and Control Framework in close collaboration with the Head Front Risk Management (Head FRM) of the Region, Head Sub Region FRM (Head SRFRM), other FRMs and the 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD).

The SRFRM ensures the risk reporting to the Sub Regional Management.

He/she has a direct or indirect solid reporting line to the Head SRFRM, as well as a business reporting line (dotted) to the Sub Region Head (SRH).

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- Supports the Front Management (Sub-region Head and Group Heads) in risk topics related to the whole client life cycle including but not limited to:

- complex account openings cases (providing enhanced due diligence for risk clients/prospects before starting the on boarding process)
- complex client periodic reviews (providing support, remediation of escalated cases)
- exception to policy requests
- Acts as sub regional point of entry and coordinates, mediates between the Front Management and 2LoD

- Participates and supports in projects carried out within the Sub Region (provide risk related advice, conducts reviews)

- Supports the SRH in building up and maintaining an adequate 1LoD risk governance for the sub-region

- Prepares the Sub Regional Risk R e p o rt i ng
- P a rt ic i p a te s and leads the Sub Regional risk sessions w ith regard t o r i s k m a n a g e m e nt to p i c s
- I d e nt i f i e s a wa re n e ss / tr a i n i n g n e e d s when analyzing the risk report findings, prepares and c o nt r i b utes t o ri s k tr a i n i n g a nd a w a r e n e s s c a mp a i g ns c o n t e nt a n d s u p po r t s c o m m u n i c a t io n w i t hi n th e f r o ntl i ne

**Interaction with Stakeholders**
- Ensures close and systematic collaboration/information flow between the 1LoD and the 2LoD. Close collaboration with the Sub Regional Business Support team is a key aspect with respect to the delineation of roles and transparency on tasks
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for individually assigned topics by the Head FRM and Head SRFRM and interacts closely with various internal stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Legal, IWMS, Internal Controlling etc.), depending on the topic
